The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

Since graduating in May 2007 I spent most of the summer playing golf waiting to get an interview for a position at the PA Department of Environmental Protection. I finally got the call and started working for the state that September at the South Central Regional Office in Harrisburg. I worked there for about a year before moving back home to Montoursville to work at the North Central Regional Office in Williamsport. After graduation a group of fellow Penn Staters took a trip to Daytona Beach, FL during Memorial Day week just after graduation. The highlight of the week was the deep sea fishing trip we did late in the week. We caught plenty of fish and brought much of it back to PA where is was sporadically eaten over the course of the next year or so. As an avid NASCAR fan, I personally went to visit Daytona International Speedway and the Daytona USA museum. This spring I helped with two major projects. First my dad and I sanded and repainted his 1988 Monte Carlo SS, which had been in need of a new paint job for many years. We spent almost every Saturday in March and some time in April before it was finally finished. Needless to say it now looks pretty sharp. The other project was putting a metal roof on the apartment building I live in that my parents own. We did this in a little over a month with primarily just my grandfather, my father and myself working on it.
